AI Conversations

Our core purpose is to raise awareness about the ethical advantages and consequences of Artificial Intelligence, especially in the unique creative setting that OCSA provides. We also aim to advocate for responsible use of AI (academic or daily setting) and want students to understand not just how but the reasoning behind why. We want to address the implications AI currently has and will have in the future, regardless of students’ passions or goals, by inviting experts and panelists in a wide variety of fields to share their experiences. This club will benefit OCSA students by showing that AI doesn't have to be a stigma and allowing students of various backgrounds and perspectives to come together and learn from one another.

AMPLIFY

A.M.P.L.I.F.Y.'s mission is to promote advocacy (fundraising for charity and spreading awareness) for humanitarian concerns using our musical/artistic talents through music performances and visual arts in our local community. Our goal is to serve the community through monthly music performances and visual arts opportunities (postcards, drawings, etc) to give back to those possibly in need of a smile, such as hospice facilities, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes. We will do this through showing resources or organizations that students can be apart of as well. We want to use this as an opportunity to bring the music/arts conservatories and interests of all--whether they're interested in law, art, music, health--for a chance to use their skills to support the community alongside their peers.

Ascending STEM

We are a club branch of the nonprofit organization Ascending STEM. We are dedicated to empowering the youth to pursue careers in STEM through education and awareness. We hold events online and in person to expose elementary schoolers up to high schoolers about STEM careers, competitions, subjects, and more. In the past, other branches have held events that are related to a STEM theme, for example, at our engineering event, we provided kids with the necessary materials, instructions, and background information about how to create a balloon-powered car and a marshmallow catapult. Our club members volunteer at our events for service hours: setting up, making sure kids are staying safe, and even giving short lectures. Our club hopes to benefit the OCSA student body by creating a welcoming space for underrepresented groups in STEM and our goals are to create a healthy environment and understanding of STEM.

Asian American Artists (AAA)

Asian American Artists (AAA) is a student-led club centered on the idea of art as historical witness — how visual art, film, literature, music, and performance can document lived experiences, preserve cultural memory, and shape how history is publicly remembered by future generations. Through artist spotlights' blog, screenings, discussions, creative workshops, guest speaker series, and collaborative projects, members will examine how Asian American artists have responded to migration, exclusion, war, displacement, identity, and social change across U.S. history, while also exploring themes beyond these areas. AAA will create an interdisciplinary space where OCSA students from different conservatories can connect their artistic practices with history, culture, and civic engagement. Members will collaborate with students across Orange County schools to interview artists and produce original artwork, essays, poetry, and historical reflections. These contributions will culminate in a student-edited book publication that presents art as both creative expression and historical testimony. Our goal is to amplify underrepresented Asian American voices, foster collaboration among young artists throughout Orange County — and hopefully across the United States — and empower students to preserve experiences that might otherwise be overlooked or forgotten, transforming individual artistic testimony into lasting cultural and policy impact.

By the end of the year, we hope to have a fully functioning digital space for club communication, a consistently updating and detailed list of writing contests, have held at least one gathering to celebrate the completion of one competition, at least one gathering of the entire club to celebrate all of our hard work, to have analyzed a piece from every competition we participate in, and to have created a place where competitors can focus wholly on writing.

Hear Her Voice is a student-led advocacy and communication club dedicated to helping raise awareness and supporting women who have experienced abuse or struggles and are currently facing difficulties. The club will give OCSA students a significant and powerful way to use their creativity and talent to make a positive impact inside and outside our school community. Our primary goal is to give back to these women who have been through abuse in any way possible and learn how we can contribute to their needs. Throughout this year, I hope this club will be able to make care packages, write thoughtful letters, learn about what these women really went through, and/or create student artwork to spread awareness. OCSA students will be able to use their ability to create unique art and ideas to contribute to expressing to advocate this club. Hear Her Voice would benefit the OCSA's student body by creating opportunities to show creativity, collaboration, and advocacy, all while educating peers about a real-world issue that affects people in our communities everywhere. My desired outcome for this is to be able to create thoughtful yet meaningful projects that raise awareness and encourage compassion throughout our school community. Overall, I would like to have Hear Her Voice bring a community together that uplifts and supports women who are struggling because of past trauma/ abuse, and to show them that they aren't alone in this journey.

INNOVATE is a weekly club focused on engineering, CAD, 3D modeling, and creative problem-solving. The club will be open to students of all experience levels, allowing anyone to participate regardless of their previous knowledge. Members will learn programs such as Tinker-CAD and Blender for 3D modeling while exploring mechanical engineering and other areas of engineering based on student interests. A major goal of INNOVATE is to give students the freedom to turn their ideas into real projects. Students with access to 3D printing can also bring their digital designs into the physical world, while the club can help members who do not have access to a printer explore options for producing their designs. INNOVATE will benefit the OCSA student body by providing a creative, hands-on environment where students can experiment, design, build, and learn from failure. Rather than simply following instructions, members will be encouraged to develop their own ideas and find different ways to solve problems. The club will also promote collaboration and allow students with different skills and interests to learn from one another. Our ultimate goal is for someone who joins INNOVATE to leave feeling that they can approach almost any problem and find a way to solve it. We want students to become more creative, confident, and willing to experiment, while gaining practical engineering and design skills they can use in school, future careers, and their communities. In the future, we also hope to expand INNOVATE beyond OCSA and develop it into a nonprofit initiative that can help students at other schools access engineering, CAD, and 3D modeling opportunities. We would like to share what we learn, provide guidance and resources, and encourage students from different schools to explore engineering and creative problem-solving. Rather than simply studying these events from textbooks, members will investigate how historical change is remembered by the people and communities who experienced it. Projects may include oral-history profiles, object biographies, digital archives, short documentaries, historical maps, written narratives, and art- or music-based interpretations of historical memory. The club will benefit OCSA by creating a unique opportunity for students from different conservatories to apply their artistic skills to meaningful historical and community-based work. Our main goal is to provide students with leadership and volunteer activities associated with music, creating future leaders in music education and advocacy.

Two Step Together

We are a youth-led organization committed to utilizing our passion for the art of dance to inspire and push our artistic limits through creative expression, impassioned joy, and love for all. Our club will perform at school events including Dodgeball, International Week, and OCSA Fest, bringing energy and school spirit to the OCSA community. Beyond campus, we plan to volunteer at local elementary schools, where we will help younger students build their skills and discover their own love for dance. We also hope to represent OCSA by competing at dance competitions outside of school. Above all, our goal is to spread the love and joy of hip-hop dance, both within our student body and throughout the local community.

UNMUTED

UNMUTED is a student-led initiative addressing the financial barriers that can quietly shape a low-income student’s experience at OCSA, from affording conservatory supplies, costumes, instruments, AP exams, and college application fees to finding transportation and opportunities outside the classroom. We are creating an OCSA-specific resource hub and community exchange where students can find scholarships, fee waivers, free programs, donated supplies and performance materials, mentorship, tutoring, and other resources, while allowing students to share what they have with peers who need it. Through anonymous student feedback, targeted resource drives, opportunity panels, and an online gallery featuring student art and stories, UNMUTED will identify the barriers OCSA students actually face and turn those needs into concrete resources.

VAC Immersive Exhibit Project

We are the first student-led exhibition at OCSA, and in the Visual Arts Conservatory that organizes an annual multi-sensory exhibition in the Visual Arts Center (VAC) Gallery. We host a team of 15+ student artists annually to curate, design, install, and come together as an artistic community to expand the field of visual arts, while actively finding ways to enhance the visitor experience in art exhibitions. Our upcoming exhibition for Fall of 2026 is "Born, Becoming." Join the club if you're interested in submitting artwork(s), gaining curatorial and installation experience, and to be part of a community of student artists! Check out our previous exhibition "HOME" exhibited in Fall of 2025 @vacimmersive on Instagram.

Very Into Vinyl

Very Into Vinyl is a club that offers students the opportunity to build a community with other OCSA students who are also interested in the collection and playing of physical music media. Currently, we are partnered with the local record store, Resident Vinyl, in Old Towne Orange, which lets us hold events (such as listening parties) in the store. As of last year, their owner has also kindly given us vinyls for free to give out to club members during our tradition of giveaways (of vinyls, stickers, compact discs, etc.) every session, as well as an OCSA student 10% checkout discount at the store. In addition to this, we have put together money for tickets to the Orange County Record Fair, which is a massive sale of pre-loved physical media-- common and rare-- that may be hard to find and are sold there at a fair price. Our desired outcome this year is to hold more off-campus events, such as those listed above, and also more on-campus community building events involving the rest of the school (think OCSA thrift and celebrations such as Black History Month, AAPI Month, and Pride Month). We hope that the long-term impact of Very Into Vinyl on any interested student sparks and maintains a long-lasting strong passion towards the revival of physical media in the age of streaming and instant gratification that comes with smart technology.

YAWP

For years, this club has allowed all OCSA students to have the opportunity to have their creative writing workshopped in a supportive and safe environment. Inspired by a Walt Whitman quote, this club has been passed down from creative writing senior to senior. As a staple in the creative writing conservatory, we open our community to everyone who is passionate about writing and wants to share their unique stories regardless of conservatory.
